The Silver Bullet is a very dependable fly on our local tailwaters--as well as anywhere else for that matter. This fly was created by Lance Egan of Tactical Fly Fisher. It is my go-to pattern when fishing faster riffles where the Jack Daniels and St Olive Sow are not making it down to the bottom strike zone quick enough (due to the CDC fibers). So--when I need a more sleek, subtle pattern to get down fast--I switch to the Silver Bullet. The silver bead makes it perfect for bright sunny days as well.
